Civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and Federal Government employees who order, purchase, or purchase such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government. The only law in the United States regarding automatic opening (automatic) knives is known as the Federal Electric Knife Act. The law regulates the manufacture and introduction of automatic knives into interstate commerce (crossing state lines). It has NO application for individual consumers or for most merchants who sell knives.
It has NO application to laws within a state. While selling knives across state lines is illegal, there are some caveats. First, you can buy an automatic knife within a state, as long as there are no laws prohibiting it. You can also send an automatic knife across state lines as long as it's not a sale (or it ships through the U.S.
UU., I think).
